Happy Holidays

Hi everyone,

Happy Holidays from Pai, Thailand. Tomorrow I'm hoping to start my trek to Laos, which will take two days to make it from here to Luang Prabang, entailing heading from Pai to the Laos border and then getting on a two-day 'slow boat' traveling down the Mekong and to Luang Prabang. After that, Vang Vieng, and eventually Vientiane, the capital, before into Cambodia.

In the meantime, since it is Christmas day here in this time zone, i'll wish ya'll happy holidays, and although I'm sending it out to everyone, right now it's especially to Jeff and Heather with their lovely new baby boy Jacob. Congrats, you two (three)!

UPDATE: Booked my ticket to Luang Prabang, leaving at 8p.m. on the 26th (that's tomorrow for me), overnight in a mini-bus to border town, sleep somewhere for a few hours before starting the boat journey at 9 the next morning and working my way down the mekong for the next two days, staying overnight at a village along the river along the way. Going to be a loooong trip but hopefully some good photography of the coast line.
